Representational Window

Representational windows are those in which the design seeks to imitate, or represent, nature. One example is this antique rose window.

The trellis design was developed in response to the homeowner's wish to keep the existing metal dividers within his fanlight opening, so we matched the positioning of the lines and imagined rose vines twining up and around a trellis. We also used different shades of rose and green to enhance the three-dimensional look for the window. The owner is very pleased with the final effect.
